The Ensembles List field is displayed on the Students List View. The field contains a list of current ensemble enrolments for the student. Because this is a list and not a portal, finds run in this field can produce unexpected results.
The Ensembles List field in the record pictured below reads as "Combined Concert Band Flute Ensemble Jazz Band”. As a result, a find request for "Jazz Ensemble", would include this record in the found set because both the word “Jazz” and word “Ensemble” are present in that one field.
For this reason, it is usually best to enter find requests for students by ensemble from the Student Form View, where each ensemble’s name is listed separately in a portal.
